Sampling and DNA/RNA extraction

We perform aseptic sampling on any industrial site and in a laboratory isolate DNA or RNA. Our sampling protocols are designed to ensure accurate representation of the microbial communities present, while our extraction methods maximize the recovery of high-quality nucleic acids for downstream analyses.

ATP biomass measurements

ATP biomass measurements can provide immediate results on site and provide information about the biomass present in your system. This rapid technique allows for real-time assessment of microbial activity, enabling quick decision-making for operational adjustments or treatment interventions.

qPCR

Using quantitative polymerase chain reaction, the number of specific genes, functional/metabolic microbial groups can be detected and quantified. We also develop custom made assays. Our qPCR analyses target key microbial groups involved in corrosion, biofilm formation, and other industrial processes, providing precise quantification of potentially problematic microorganisms.

OMICS

To accurately identify microbial contaminants new generation sequencing methods are applied. Through our collaborators, we provide 16S rRNA gene sequencing, shot-gun metagenomics and metatranscriptomics services to gain insight into the composition and abundance of microorganisms present. These advanced techniques offer comprehensive profiling of microbial communities and their activities.
